mercedes benz fashion week new york! spring/summer 2013

hello my loves and happy fashion friday!

it's that time of year again when designers, editors, fashion photographers, stylists, buyers, merchandisers, bloggers, celebrities and fashion luminaries all descend upon NEW YORK for an eight-day, eight-night, four-runway event... the Mercedes-Benz fashion week! the event is from the 6th to the 13th September and will showcase the spring/summer collections for 2013!

5 to spring 10 to summer!

hi darls!

do you know what time it is? it's 5 to spring and ten to summer, 2 seasons that most of us absolutely love! i cannot wait for the sweet smell of star jasmine and sweet peas, for the jacaranda trees to be in full bloom, long hot sexy nights, gorgeous sunsets, rain, beautiful light and sexy clothes and shoes, alfresco dining and lots and lots of champers. so, what to wear for the coming seasons? the 3 hot shades are pastels, mint green and neons! my personal favourite is the mint green; such a cool colour for hot days! here are some pictures on the seasons hottest hues!

home is where my heart is...

hello my lovelies!

it's august and MY birthday month too... YAAAYZIES:-) i thought i'd switch things up a bit and do a home decor post! i absolutely love being home (albeit lonesome at times and my good friend silas recently suggested that i need 'company'... LOL). just vegging on the couch, reading magazines, watching telly/movies or listening to music (with a mandatory glass of bubbly or vino in hand... on weekends) is what brings joy to my heart! i also love hosting my friends and sister although i haven't done that for a while (let's blame it on winter). i enjoy home decor shopping and putting ideas together (mmmhh, i think i'm a closet interior decorator... must do something about that). having said that, here are a few of my favourite home decor ideas/pieces.
